Vegan Recipes and Lifestyles Many people find it hard to differentiate between a vegan and a vegetarian. This is because in most cases the two words are used interchangeably. However, there is a great difference between the two. A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat. On the other hand, a vegan avoids both meat and other animal products. This therefore means that a vegan diet excludes foods such as milk and eggs. Foods taken by vegans are healthy because they equally contain essential food nutrients. It is however very important that vegans know which food types to eat in order to have all nutrients in their diets.
